Mexican Portfolio, 1967

Paul Strand's Mexican Portfolio consists of twenty images in photogravure.  The 1967 portfolio is the second edition of the original 1940 portfolio, and is pulled from the same plates by Albert Delong under Strand's supervision.  Strand felt that the images of this second edition were superior to those of the first!

The 1967 edition is limited to 1000 portfolio sets, of which the above images are from a broken portfolio numbered 946.

The "Gateway, Hidalgo" image is 8 x 10 inches on paper 12 3/8 x 5 7/8 inches, and is archivally matted and framed to 14 x 17 inches.

The "Men of Santa Anna" image is 5 x 6.25 inches on paper 12 3/8 x 15 7/8 inches, and is archivally matted and framed to 14 x 17 inches.
Both images are perfect.
