Based on the Boris Pasternak novel, this film portrays the difficult life of a
Russian Doctor (Omar Sharif) during the Bolshevik Revolution. 
All-star cast includes Julie Chistie Geraldine Chapman, Rod Steiger and Alec Guiness. 
Shown is the confrontation between the Army and the deserters.

Peter Brooks directed this William Golding novel about a group of castaway boys,
shipwrecked on an island, who eventually reverted to savagery
despite efforts of a saner minority.

The Fall of the Roman Empire
1964
This epic film portrays the Roman General Livius' (Stephen Boyd) struggle
to hold the failing Roman Empire together.  Shown is a scene in front of the Roman Forum,
reconstructed for the film, and at the time, the largest outdoor set ever built for a film
(1,312 x 754 feet).  The film also starred Sophia Loren, Alec Guiness,
James Mason, Christopher Plummer, Omar Sharif, and Mel Ferrer

This series of movie stills is mostly from the 40s - 60s and represents some of the leading films
of that era.  Each is vintage, from that period, and most are still marked with
the original crop-marks for publication and/or the issue information from the studio. 
They are all 8 x 10s and the images shown are scans of the photographs available. 
They are in excellent repair, but come from the working files of the magazines they were published
